MY PRAYERS:

1. I pray that I have my own one-woman art exhibit and travel the world! (Any interested sponsors? Or good samaritans who can help? Contact me….)

2. I pray that I will be able to write my own book

3. I pray that I will be able to host my own travel show :)

3. I am also praying that I become a wife and mother soon. I love kids and having a family will complete me.

WHO IS KRISTINE SENDY REALLY?

I am a writer, web designer, visual artist, events host, entrepreneur and an aspiring broadcast journalist, ready to make it big soon! My words are well-meant and are carved out of my dire need to express.

The Writer

I wrote for the school publication since I was in grade school, became editor-in-chief of the High School publication, and editor in College.

The article I am most proud of is a DEVCOM article entitled, “Blessed are the Children” which depicts the plight of the children of Barangay Sta. Clara in Batangas City…those families whose houses were demolished in favor of the Batangas Port.

I wrote this in college for Lasallian Voices in Action (LAVOXA) and was given the Best DevCom Page award by the Regional Tertiary Schools Press Conference, Best Exposition (De La Salle Lipa), and Writer of the Year award (De La Salle Lipa, 1997-1998). Right now, I write for my own blog at The Mind of a Kristine Sendy (Life is Serendipity).

I have tried the Palanca Awards once, but didn’t make it. I will try again next time. I also once tried my hand in TV/Movie scriptwriting. Even trying out for Ricky Lee’s Scriptwriting Workshop at ABS-CBN in 2002 and buying his TRIP TO QUIAPO Scriptwriting manual. I may not have made it…just yet…because I will write and write and write…..more and more….. :)

The Aspiring Photographer and Theater Enthusiast

I am also interested in photography and theater plays. Looking forward to buying my own digital SLR cam….saving up for it because I need it sooo bad! heheh!! :D

The Web Designer

I have designed and since 2003 been maintaining the official website of Julius and Christine Bersola-Babao, both household names in the Philippines and all over the world where there is TFC (The Filipino Channel) in the fields of Broadcast Journalism, TV/Multimedia hosting, Advocacies and Outreach, Children’s books, TV/Print endorsements. You may check http://www.tintinandjuliusbabao.com

The Visual Artist

I started my passion for the visual arts as early as my High School days, but found the niche to explore oil/acrylic painting in 2000. As a visual artist my style is mostly abstract expressionism, and a little of expressionist portraiture, oil on canvas/canvasboard. I thrive heavily on colors and texture.

As these fine and experienced artists from all over the world said,

“Your work has a rich color consistency with a bit of primitive flavor.” – Howard StromanFine Artist, Tulare, CA – United States

“good for the senses….amazing!” – Juan Elani – Fine Artist, Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines

“Your work is a powerfully evocative expression of your individuality – nothing derivative here. As a well known figurative painter told me when I was not much older than you are “just paint”. Trust me it takes care of everything, that old figurative painter understood a lot. Looking forward to more stuff from your heart and brush.”Charles Peck – Fine Artist, Punta Gorda, Florida, United States Charles Peck Fine Art America

“There is so much emotions in your painting, I like it VERY much, it is a special piece… Also.., the most “accurate” eyes or nose could hardly beat the expression you gave to those eyes and this nose….It’s beautiful…bravo”Margot Koefod Fine Art America – Fine Artist, Circle Pines, MN – United States Margot Koefod Fine Art America

“Great job, love your colors and style, and you have a nice sense of freedom in your hand, that’s a good thing. Linda”Linda Mungerson – Fine Artist, Perris, CA – United States Linda Mungerson Fine Art America

“GREAT COLORS AND CURVES…I CAN SEE THAT U PAINT WITH FREEDOM, SACHA”Sacha Circulism – Fine Artist, Jerez, Cadiz – SpainSacha Circulism Fine Art America

The Host/Emcee

I have been doing events hosting for quite sometime now. Backed by my experience as a student orator, declamer, host for school events, and a true lover of communication, I started events hosting, mostly for weddings, parties, corporate events in 2000.

The Entrepreneur

I am an entrepreneur. I always think out of the box. I always think BIG! I have started a company called CELEBRATE! by SERENDIPITY “YOUR EVENTS SPECIALIST” (EVENTS COORDINATION/EVENTS HOSTING). (Serendipity being my favorite word and movie). I sooooo love weddings!!!

The Aspiring Broadcast Journalist

I am an aspiring broadcast journalist. I underwent a Newscasting Workshop in April-July 2006 at ABS-CBN Broadcasting Network. Looking forward to a career in broadcast journalism, God-willing.

The Dreamer (or as my good friend Bluepanjeet calls me, “The Dream Seeker“) The Fighter, if I may say so…..

And I want to reach out to others through my God-given talents. Whenever I feel sad and depressed, I just think about what my good friend and mentor always tells me:

We all have our moments of darkness. But that’s because God wants us to fully appreciate it when we see the LIGHT of His will. And HIS WILL, IN HIS TIME, is ALWAYS PERFECT.

So never ever think or feel like giving up again when you fall again and reach the bottom of the pit. You are beautiful, smart, talented – you speak well, you’re an artist, you have a heart to serve. You have a role in this world to fulfill, or you are ALREADY fulfilling it!

At 28, I may not have fully understood the realities of life just yet, but I’m willing to embrace it without animosity or pride.

I am also praying that I become a wife and mother soon. I love kids and having a family will complete me.

Kristine Sendy believes that God-willing and in God’s perfect time, her dreams are about to become reality soon because there are people who believe in her. People who go out of their way helping her and making her feel she is all worth it.

This may be long overdue, but this time, Kristine Sendy is here for the win by KO!

*on a lighter note, I love travels, roadtrips, communication, being with my other half, cuddling, dvd marathon, movies, puppies and I am a total foodie! Yummy!
