Sanctuario de San Antonio, Padre Pio, Antonia, Christine, Julius, Serendra

Date: September  2, 2007, Sunday

Sounds holy?

Wait until you hear my story.

Earlier, I went to see my good friend, sister and mentor, Ate Tintin in her taping for a cooking show. Armed with my tita’s digicam, I easily found my way in the MRT Taft Station and breezed through all the stations until I reached GMA Kamuning by 1:30pm.

I suddenly found myself in an unchartered territory. This was my first time to step inside GMA 7 – Kapuso hehehhe. I am a Kapamilya eversince. :)

So there it was….the Katoque set….with the audience ready, a great band, Escabeche, and the whole staff who were all really nice! I was awed by the the whole setup. How the director, producers, linemen, lightmen, cameramen, audiomen, all the staff, and talents managed to do their jobs without a hitch. Bravo! I enjoyed being part of the audience!

Do you get to see me in that episode? hehehhe Malay ko ba! I was so busy capturing Ate Tin’s moments on cam that I wasn’t even sure if I was captured by GMA 7’s cam…hehhe…It’s for you to find out! Watch the Katoque episode of Ate Tintin on September 15, QTV 11! (oist! plugging yan ha! wa heheheh!)

Now on to the holy news…..

The cast:  Ate Tin, yours truly, Antonia, Kuya Julius, Catcat, Yaya Maggie, Kuya Jojo

After the taping, we all headed to Ortigas and then made our way to Sanctuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati to hear mass. We first went to light some candles…..

ARGGGHHHH!!!!! Di na kaya ng powers ko! I’m darn tired! I went home around 11:45pm…..muntik na maabutang magbagong anyo si Cinderella….Whew! That was close! hahaha Sleeping Beauty muna ako…:D

Now for the continuation…..

At the Sanctuario de San Antonio, Ate Tintin and I went to the part of the church where we can light candles for Padre Pio of Pietrelcina and other saints. I excitedly told Ate Tintin and Kuya Julius that I did a novena for Padre Pio a few months ago when I was really sick, and it was him who helped me with my healing! True! So she gave me a candle in a glass and told me to light it and we said our prayers.

Just as we were about to leave, we spotted the King of Comedy, Dolphy and took the chance to take some pictures :) Weeee!!!

It was my first time at the Sanctuario de San Antonio, so I made a wish, something that I have gotten used to doing everytime I enter a church for the first time. They say that if you do, your wishes will soon come true. :)

I was enjoying the calmness that surrounds me, the crisp, cool air because of the centralized airconditioning they have, and the intimate touch of the place just keeps on hounding me….then suddenly….goosebumps!

(Hahah! Nah-ah, it’s not what you’re thinking! Not even close! Definitely not about doing number 2! wahahhaha)

Someday….I will walk down this aisle…towards the man God has prepared for me…

A sudden chill crept up my spine…not because it was chilly inside…it really felt different…as if God was telling me something…..hmmmm….and I felt tears welling up…I was in awe…

I know in my heart I’ll be back there soon…..:)

***************************

After the mass, we all headed to Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street. What a sight! I really drool at the sight of books! Everything is there, really hard to find books, coffeeshop….hay! sarap tumambay dito!

Anya was busy playing and dancing with the other kids while Barney is on the giant screen tv. Rummaging through books and toys  and playing to her heart’s content. What a smart and bubbly 2 1/2 year old kid, indeed! Walang kapaguran! heheh!

While Anya was playing, Ate Tintin and I continued to discuss about things, the TintinandJuliusBabao.com website, her books, her projects, my lovelife (hehe!), and a lot more….Kuya Julius was busy browsing artbooks while Cat and I never stop taking videos and photos.

After a while, we trooped to the adjacent Serendra and had a sumptuous dinner at Balducci Ristorante.

  1. Pwede din kaya mag-pray diyan para magkaroon ng baby. Kasi dadayuhin namin ni hubby ang Sanctuario de San Antonio para mag-pray kay Padre Pio.

  2. hi sis! yes, walang impossible kay Padre Pio, sis:) try going there…or better yet, Kuya Julius Babao told me there’s a parish along Eastwood na named after Padre Pio and meron shang relic dun..yung gloves ata nya or something…

Why don’t you also go to Fr.Joey Faller, a healing priest…I know another healing priest who was an instrument that’s why my friends’ sister was able to bear a child kahit me problem sha with her reproductive system at first :)

God bless you, Ann! You’re in my prayers…

  3. ann and tintin — i also believe in padre pio!

  4. yes ate kengk! di ba very powerful when you pray through his intercession?

hay! You wouldn’t believe how sick I was a couple of months back..but now, I AM A-OK!!! Thanks to the intercession of Padre Pio!

  5. We received feedback from a couple of people that if you are not a parishoner at Sanctuario, then the person who handles weddings will not treat you well. Medyo bastos ang dating. Still trying to search for the Parish Priest’s email address to file a complaint against their church staff.
